Since Summer is out of the town for the weekend, I have decided to fill my time with something less useful than housework or working on my talk for September: I’m starting a new blog. This one is supposed to be short-lived, and may not be for the faint of heart. Here’s the impetus. Last night I got a call from Stew, and we chatted for 30 minutes or so, mostly about politics (the call originated as a “Are you watching Obama’s speech” call, with an overdue apology for voting Nader in 2000). I don't know if I dare...did you know that years ago Karl was worried about you guys thinking that you were going to go apostate? It was amusing.
Becky, I think of lot of folks at BYU had issues because of my political views. I'm sure some of the guys in my freshman ward would have reconsidered sustaining as EQ president me if they knew how liberal I was...But I'll try to keep this mellow.
Becky, wow that is ironic. I still really enjoyed giving Karl a copy of the communist manifesto and civil disobedience for his birthday. I think that was one of my finest b-day presents ever.
