May is here...Let the games begin

This Week:

Allyson and I went to see a beautiful play at the Albuquerque Little Theatre and then went to our second favorite cupcake place in town.

Ryan read 23 chapters of the Book of Mormon on his own. As Roy puts it, we are overjoyed that he is reading the scriptures on his own initiative, but we feel a little bad that it wasn't anything we said or did that spurred this on.

Isaac made up new lyrics to a song I have sung to the kids for forever (Becky I am sure you will appreciate the link). The new lyrics are "You're my honeybunch, sugarpea, piece of macaroni-cheese." He has been making up other songs as well.

Evan started to say "da-da," no meaning attached yet, he is just enjoying making noises and copying our sounds. He has also started to copy us when we shake our heads no. So, why are the kids okay when he copies them, but it is a mortal sin if Isaac tries it?

I fell in love with the little song! I am sad that I didn't know it to sing to all of you...so I guess I'll just have to sing it to grandchildren and great-grandchildren now.

Love,
Mom C

That's so funny. Just the other day I was thinking I would email you (always good intentions) and end with "a bushel and a peck" to see if you remembered the crazy songs we used to sing. Thanks for your email...I promise I will write you back someday....

p.s. don't you think Ryan has seen you reading your scriptures, ever? Or the fact that you take him to church...I think you definitely had a role in his decision to read the scriptures.
