An Ode to Getting Older
(Sing to the tune of "Oh, What Do You Do In the Summertime?")
Oh, what do you do with those stray gray hairs
When all the world seems blond?
Do you pluck them and tweeze?
Yell, "Go away, please!"?
And sit on your bed and cry?
Is that what you do?
So do I.
What do you do with those stray gray hairs
That grow all short and coarse?
Do you pretend they're not there?
Obsess over your hair?
And cover them all with dye?
Is that what you do?
So do I.

I like your song!
At least you have a reason to have gray hair...you have 4 kids. I have to blame all of mine on Jon. mwhaha.
I saw this yesterday and thought it was humorous, assuming Roy had posted it. I looked again today and saw it was by Summer. Summer, I don't believe you have gray hairs! We're not old enough for that!
Becky
Don't you think it makes more sense for the person married to me to gray first?
On a related (?) note, Summer's poem/song is spectacular.
Becky you're not old enough for that. Still at least you'll have hair long after Dave (Roy) has none. Of course this comes from the man who'll be silver within the next five years.
Hmm...I need to see a picture of Roy's hair. Is he really losing it? :)
In fact Roy is not losing any more hair. And, yes I do have gray hairs. Fortunately they are well hidden so only I can see them. But I still know they are there...
On another note, Becky, did you know that Liz (Harris) Bass had a baby? I got the birth announcement in the mail the other day. A cute little girl!
